Friday, May 20 - Early Bird Plant Sale
Registration required. Included with you ticket is a selection of pizzas provided by Piñons Pizza Company of Locust Valley, soft drinks, selected desserts.
Plant Sale: 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Casual Dinner: 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Fee: $50; $20 Children 17 and under; Members receive a 20% discount
Saturday, May 21 - Plant Sale, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Fee: Access included with general admission. Members receive 20% off purchase.
Saturday, May 21 - Floral Design Workshop, 10:15 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Fee includes ticket to Old Westbury Gardens and all materials.
Fee: $75. Members receive a 20% discount.
Saturday, May 21 - Floral Design for Kids, 10:00 a.m.
Maura Brush, Horticulture Director for Old Westbury Gardens, will lead a 45-minute floral arranging class just for kids so they can explore their creative side. Fresh flowers will be used, and she will teach proper care and handling, water, and how to make sure your floral arrangement lasts and looks beautiful. She'll talk about flower names and some fun facts about each flower.
Most appropriate for ages 5-12. Registration is required and class size is limited so sign up early.
Fee: $30. Members receive a 20% discount. Fee includes ticket to Old Westbury Gardens for registrant and 1 caregiver and all materials.
Saturday, May 21 - Off-the-Path Nature Walk, 11:00 a.m.
Join Will Story, member of the Gardens' horticultural staff for a 45-minute walk through some of the naturalized woodland areas surrounding the formal gardens.
Registration is required as space is limited. Included with your ticket are admission, guided walk, and reusable water bottle.
Fee: $18; free for members (registration required).
Saturday, May 21 - Drop-in Kid’s Planting , 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Kids can get their hands dirty as they participate in a take-home planting project.
Fee: Access included with general admission. No registration required.
Saturday, May 21 - Walled Garden Insider Tour , 1:00 p.m.
Discover the secrets of the world-famous Walled Garden in a 45-minute guided tour with Kim Johnson, who has been responsible for this garden's multi-seasonal display for over three decades.
Registration is required as space is limited. Included with your ticket are admission, guided walk, and reusable water bottle.
Fee: $18; Free for members but registration is required.
Saturday, May 21 - Spring Along the Primrose Path, 2:30 p.m.
Stroll along the Primrose Path and in the Thatched Cottage Garden with Old Westbury Gardens horticulturalist Gabrielle Kantor, as she shares insights and expertise about this garden's flowering plants. The guided tour will last approximately 45 minutes.
Registration is required as space is limited.
Included with your ticket are admission, guided walk, and reusable water bottle.
Fee: $18; Free for members but registration is required.
Sunday, May 22 - Plant Sale, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
A selection of plants, especially curated by the Gardens Horticulture, featuring hard-to-find perennials, and the Gardens’ signature plants. All the plants for sale were grown on Long Island. Through the day, staff from the Gardens' Horticulture Department will be on-hand to assist in plant selection and growing tips.
Fee: Access included with general admission. Members receive 20% discount on purchase.
Sunday, May 22 - Self-Guided Tours of Private Gardens, 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Ticket holders will be able to tour specially selected private gardens located on Long Island’s North Shore, minutes away from Old Westbury Gardens and then may conclude their day with a stroll through Old Westbury Gardens and shop at the Gardens' plant sale.
Registration required as space is limited.
Fee: $60; members received a 20% discount
Sunday, May 22 - Afternoon Tea and Self-Guided Tours of Private Gardens
As above but following their garden visits, participants will enjoy an afternoon tea (3:00 p.m.) at Orchard Hill House, the former residence Old Westbury Gardens co-founder Peggie Phipps Boegner. The menu includes scones, tea sandwiches, seasonal desserts, and a selection of hot teas.
Registration required as space is limited. Includes access to self-guided tour of private gardens, admission to Old Westbury Gardens, and afternoon tea.
Tours: 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Afternoon Tea: 3:30-4:30 p.m.
Fee: $100; members receive a 20% discount
