Islip Art Museum

The Museum displays five exhibits annually that reflect issues and concerns in the current art world as well as four exhibits a year from it's permanent collection. The museum holds lectures and fine art classes for adults and children alike and invites all artists to submit work to the galleries for an independent curator to consider for inclusion in an once-a-year theme show to showcase new talent in the tri-state area. The Museum maintains a growing Permanent Collection of works by leading contemporary artists, with a focus on those with ties to Long Island. IAM also presents lectures, workshops, and tours for all age groups. Islip Art Museum is a division of the Town of Islip Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs and is managed by the Islip Arts Council, a non-profit arts agency with offices in the Brookwood Hall complex.
