Family Workshop - Science Bath & Beyond at the SMLI
*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 02/12/2022
Embrace the cold as we deep-dive into freezing temperatures! Enjoy a variety of super cool demonstrations and enjoy our homemade liquid nitrogen ice cream! Be sure to join us for a snowball fight and sledding on the lawn afterwards (weather pending)!
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
- We’ll explore:
- Liquid Nitrogen: Discover what is possible with this super cold substance (-320°F!!) as we freeze objects instantly, remove the elasticity of others, and make fresh ice cream in minutes!
- Dry Ice: Explore the properties of pure, frozen CO2! We’ll trap the gas in bubbles and even carbonate our own beverages!
- SNOW!: Weather permitting, join us out on the lawn for a good old fashioned snowball fight and sledding down the hill! *Please bring your own sleds*
