Firefighters Museum and Education Center has RE-OPENED

The Museum will be open Wednesday through Sunday from 10AM-4PM
The Nassau County Firefighters Museum is excited to welcome guests back during Phase 4 and the Museum has been planning extensively to do so.
We are attentive to the local, state, and federal guidelines that govern our reopening policies and procedures and we will continue to watch and evaluate those on a daily basis; proceeding slowly and adjusting as necessary.
We will be taking a conservative approach to return to our normal services, placing the health and safety of our visitors, employees, and community above all else.

- As of July 9th, the museum's new operating hours are Wednesday – Sunday 10 am-4 pm.
- Admission will be $5 per person. Reservations are not necessary.
- Museum galleries will be open, although some exhibits have been adjusted for your safety
- All museum visitors over 2 and medically able to tolerate one, must wear a face mask while in the museum. Disposable face masks will be made available for anyone who does not have them. This is an NYS mandate; this simple action keeps our employees and fellow visitors safe, helping to stop the spread.
- We’re limiting the number of people allowed in our museum to 25% of our maximum capacity for the foreseeable future.
- We’re introducing socially distanced queuing at our entrance and store.
- Directional floor markers and one-way flow through the museum
