Learning in the times of COVID-19: Live Webinar

*The event has already taken place on this date: Thu, 09/17/2020
Come and join us in an interactive discussion. For families navigating the challenges of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) era, it can seem a bit like a play in three acts: a parent, a teacher and a professional — only in this case, all the acts are happening at once and you are probably getting overwhelmed.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
How best can we as parents navigate through the current environment, keep our sanity, and help our kids progress? How can we serve in the three roles and develop a daily structure for the unique needs of each child?
Every child is different and every one of them learn differently. Up to 25% of children have some sort of learning challenges and these learning challenges become more apparent and visible during times of Covid-19 and structured home learning format.
We as parents need to adjust and adopt the learning format according to their needs and their learning style.
The event will be led by Sydney Wesson from Brain Balance of Allen and Tracy Walker from Tutor Doctor Allen and Plano.
They will share how development works and how to identify a child’s learning needs. We will also discuss how to identify learning challenges and what tools & tricks we can use to create the best learning environment at home in any environment.
