Opening Day at Old Westbury

Old Westbury Gardens opens to Visitors on April 1.
The signs of spring have arrived: snowdrops blooming along the East Lake; spring bulbs rising from the beds in the Walled Garden and Thatched Cottage Garden; and the return of visitors strolling along the garden paths.
Many members and visitors expressed to us last year that they sorely missed that special time at the Gardens when the longer hours of daylight and warmer weather give rise to the tulips, daffodils, and ephemeral wildflowers. We are fortunate that the state's COVID-19 protocols permit us to open this year on time. We encourage you to visit in the next few weeks to enjoy those plants that display their colors before the deciduous trees leaf out. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Members do not need to make a reservation to visit. Westbury House is closed.
