TEEN CAMPS (AGES 13-17) at Studio E Art

We offer a different topic every week and you may register for as few or as many weeks as you like! Camps are always taught by a certified art teacher with the standards for art present in every project.
Weekly Topics
Teen Camp Week 1; July 9-12 10am-2pm; Teen Pottery Immersion Camp
In this camp, students will explore hand building and throwing techniques in Earth clay, building a different project per day. Students will have access to our nine high powered pottery wheels! Glazing is not included, but students may schedule an additional glaze time for only $20 (for 1.5 hours of glaze time.) Or students may choose instead to glaze at home. Projects will be packaged and ready for pick up one week later.
Teen Camp Week 2; July 16th-19th 10am-2pm; "Landscape Painting"
In this camp, students will explore techniques in watercolor, tempera and acrylic paint, using photo references for guidance. If the student prefers to bring in their own landscape photo reference, they may. We will supply stock landscape photos. All supplies are included.
Teen Camp Week 3; Meets July 23-26th from 10am-2PM; "Drawing and Painting from Nature"
Students will learn how to work from photo references or different places in nature. Basics of foundational drawing will be covered including shading, composition and drawing accuracy. Students will use charcoal, chalk pastels, colored pencils. Students will also dabble with painting techniques using tempera and acrylic paints. All supplies are included.
Teen Camp Week 4, Meets July 30th-Aug 2nd 10am-2pm; "Watercolor Basics"
In this camp, students will explore a variety of watercolor techniques including wet on wet, wet on dry, dry on dry and more! Students will work from stock photo references (provided at the studio) creating a variety of pictures and improving their watercolor skills throughout the week.
Teen Camp Week 5, August 6-9th from 10am-2pm; "Collage and Painting Camp"
In this camp, students will learn techniques in collage and painting, combining the two in order to create mixed media creations. All supplies are included

TEEN PORTFOLIO PREP
Teen Portfolio Prep students attend all six weeks of teen camp, which meet the following weeks on Tues-Fri from 10am-2PM
