Portledge Afterschool adventures are from 3:15 p.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Classes change each semester, but in the past we have offered chess, yoga, fencing, newspaper, science fun, and an introduction to stocks!
In addition to our summer camp, PYT offers year-round programming for ages 3-17 in musical theater. Classes include training in singing, dancing, and acting, and all classes are taught by vetted NYC professionals!
This early education class is designed for all young students with an interest in exploring theatre. Students will learn basic acting, dance, and vocal techniques while working to put on a full production of the musical, A Year with Frog and Toad. Students will learn about the audition process and have the opportunity to audition for a role in the show. All students will be given a part and will learn the importance of working collectively as a group to create a successful and fun theatrical experience.
All virtual classes cover pronunciation, vocabulary, new phrases, practical grammar, and culture through activities, videos, games, songs and other fun presentation elements.
