AdvoKids: Let Freedom Ring with MLK!
*The event has already taken place on this date: Mon, 01/19/2026
During this workshop, visitors will learn about MLK beyond his 'I Have a Dream' speech and gain a better understanding of his impact on the Civil Rights Movement. Visitors will also participate in a gallery walk of images from the Civil Rights Movement and then create a bell to “let freedom ring". "AdvoKids” is a monthly series focusing on children learning what it means to be an advocate for themselves and others. Adults will learn how they can support their child’s self-advocacy efforts, which promote confidence, resilience and empathy.
