Bug Buddies: Pill Bugs
*The event has already taken place on this date: Sun, 11/02/2025
Pill bugs (or “roly-polies”) are crustaceans—relatives of crabs and lobsters!—that traded the ocean for your backyard. Discover their ancient origins, how they curl into balls, and why they’re vital decomposers.
Did you know pill bugs breathe through gills? That’s why they love damp places! In this hands-on session, we’ll observe their behavior and learn how they recycle dead plants into healthy soil.
