Are you at risk? According to the Center for Disease Control, heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States, causing about 1 in 4 deaths. The term “heart disease” refers to several types of heart conditions. In the United States, the most common type of heart disease is coronary artery disease (CAD), which can lead to heart attack.
Lisa O'Connor, Director of Evidence Based Health Initiatives for the Regional YMCA of Western CT will share her latest Nutrition Education Workshop,"Heart Healthy Eating." This workshop is part of the Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring Program at the YMCA. Join us to learn how everyone can take the right steps to improve our eating habits and reduce our risk of heart disease!
