Players Wanted for Junior Beach Volleyball Program At Centereach Park
East End Volleyball has opened registration for the 2024 junior program to help individual athletes reach their full potential while growing their love for this lifelong sport. We are presenting a multi-level program throughout Long Island including Centereach in 2024 that allows players the opportunity to reach their highest level in the sport, which is why our beach club is called East End Vertical.
Program Description
Juniors will train every Monday and then play in an organized league every Wednesday., June 3 through Aug. 14. The program will teach junior athletes, boys and girls 18 and under, to reach a skill level that allows them to play doubles beach volleyball. The goal is to encourage athletes to compete in weekend doubles tournaments and possibly an opportunity to play beach volleyball in college.
Think of this 2-part program as:
Monday is for coaching.
Wednesday is for playing with feedback.
Athletes will train 2 days per week before the June 19 start of league play. After the league starts, athletes will then train every Monday, and play in the league every Wednesday, which allows them to put into practice what they learned at that week’s training session. Players receive coaching, an official Molten Beach Volleyball and EEVB Juniors t-shirt.
Head Coach: Matt Toner is a certified USA Volleyball coach, was Assistant Head Coach at Adelphi University for 11 years. He also coached at the LI Big Apple Volleyball Club and helped found Dawn Patrol, which was combined with EEVB Junior Program to form East End Vertical in 2022. The 42-year-old coach has played doubles for 30 years in EEVB tournaments including early tournaments with his father in adult divisions. Our favorite strength exhibited by Coach Toner, in addition to his years of playing and coaching experience, is his ability to communicate with athletes and get them to understand his coaching, helping them become the best players possible.
Cost:
Best Price: if paid in full by May 1, is $450/player
Regular fees per athlete would be $375 for Monday training and $200 for Wednesday league = $575 total.
Players who have caught the beach volleyball bug and want to advance even higher in the sport should move up to the East End Vertical Club Program in Long Beach, which includes training twice weekly, plus unlimited weekend tournaments. Players looking to get to the collegiate level, whether indoor or beach, should strongly consider the club programs. The best benefit of East End Vertical's Club Program is that in addition to training, players get to practice what they learn every weekend at Sunday Junior tournaments in Long Beach. The Vertical Club Program fees cover weekday training plus weekend entry fees in addition to an awesome gear package for an all-in-one program.
Further information about all our programs is available online at https://www.eastendvertical.com/programs .
We hope parents and players will consider one of our program options for young athletes. These junior programs are part of East End Volleyball’s summer program, the largest beach volleyball program on the East Coast, which offers a variety of playing opportunities for adult and junior players of all levels. Adults can play in weeknight leagues or weekend tournaments with divisions for novice, intermediate and skilled level players. Single players are encouraged to join and be matched up with other players. Team and league sponsors are encouraged to contact East End Volleyball at 631-355-1293 or www.eevb.net for further information.
