Family Fun Days are a new camp option for families that are ready to get out and are feeling comfortable heading to camp! It’s also a fun and reasonably priced alternative for families who may not be able to go on other trips planned for this summer. Family Fun Days are offered Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and be outdoors only programming. Family Fun Days are scheduled as a 9:00 a.m. arrival/check-in. Families can participate in a choice of boating activities on the Long Island Sound, including kayaking or canoeing, learn some archery skills or enjoy arts and crafts or biking! The morning activities will be scheduled from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. and the afternoon activities will be scheduled from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. Families will have free time to enjoy their own picnic in the outdoors across the grounds, enjoy the Stations of the Cross nature trail and outdoor walks between 11:00 to 1:30 p.m. Everyone will then depart the camp grounds by 3:30 p.m. Camp DeWolfe reopened it’s facilities and resources when Suffolk County entered Phase 4 of the NY Forward Plan, adhering to CDC guidelines including social distancing found here and below. Following CDC and Suffolk County Department of Health social distancing guidelines, families are to bring their own pre-made picnics and drinks, in own coolers, to enjoy in any of the outdoor spaces around camp!
