Filmmaking Summer Camp
*The event has already taken place on this date: Fri, 08/16/2024
IT’S TIME TO MAKE A MOVIE! Campers will create a short film with the support of film-loving peers and the guidance of a professional film instructor. Whether it’s a camper’s first or fiftieth time making a movie, our staff will meet campers at their individual skill level and encourage their growth.
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
We believe there is always something new to learn, especially in the creative world of visual storytelling!
Working in small groups equipped with a camera, campers will:
- pitch and storyboard ideas
- learn how to compose the best shots
- collaborate as part of a film crew
- enhance problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- perform on camera
- receive peer and instructor feedback
- edit with Adobe Premiere Pro CC
- screen work at the JBFC Theater
