The History of the Holiday Tree: An Elementary Education Workshop | Kids Out and About Long Island

The History of the Holiday Tree: An Elementary Education Workshop

*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 12/10/2022
In this workshop, children will learn about holiday traditions involving the symbolic use of evergreens in ancient Egypt and Rome, to the German tradition of candlelit Christmas trees brought to America in the 1800s. Children will create their own ornaments and we will take a trip to the Manor House to help decorate our very own BCA Children’s Tree, which will be on display throughout the holiday season. At the end of class, each child will be able to bring home their own living trees to nurture and plant in their own backyard!
