*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 07/02/2022
On July 2 at 2 pm, the Oyster Bay Music Festival (OBMF) will be bringing For the Birds – A Musical Odyssey Inspired by our Feathered Friends to Coe Hall. Mai and William Coe were avid bird enthusiasts, and OBMF will present a program which draws upon the history of the Coe’s love both of music and birds. The program will include Firebird by Stravinsky/Agosti transcribed for piano, selections from Saint-Saens Carnival of the Animals, Abyss of the Birds by Messiaen, The Nightingale’s Song by Ukrainian composer, Kos-Anatolsky and more! Come join us to share in the magic!
OBMF concerts feature exceptional, prize-winning young musicians (14-28), who study at or are graduates of Juilliard, Yale School of Music, Eastman School of Music, San Francisco Conservatory, and New England Conservatory, among others.
