Southold Indian Museum presents Sewanhacky 2019 on October 11 through 13. This festival celebrates the Native American presence on Long Island, both past and present. Film screenings, demonstrations, exhibits, arts and crafts for kids, an art show/sale, Chinese auction, and book signings are offered. Admission is free.

The Southold Indian Museum presents Sewanhacky 2019 on October 11 through 13. This festival celebrates the Native American presence on Long Island, both past and present. The festival opens with the screening of an award-winning film by Unkechaug director Ginew Benton. Both the director and cinematographer Bryan Downey will be present for a post-film discussion. Native American-themed demonstrations, exhibits, arts and crafts for kids, an art show/sale including works by local artists, and a Chinese auction are part of the festival offerings.
