Summer with Friends: Summer 2026 at Friends Academy

Pre-Summer: (Age 3 - Entering Grade 8)
Full day program includes weekly themed activities, outdoor adventures, and much more, ensuring a memorable and exciting start to the summer.
Our 2026 program takes place June 15th - June 26th from 8:30 am - 3:00pm. Families have the option to enroll for one or two weeks. Snacks will be provided. All children will participate in two different workshop topics each day.
Week 1 is $460 per child and Week 2 is $575 per child. Families will need to provide their children with lunch and snacks. The program will not meet on Friday, June 19th. Please email summer@fa.org or call 516-393-4207 for more information. Here is a link to Pre-Summer Program descriptions.
Explorers: (Age 3 - Entering Grade 2)
Children will participate in age-appropriate, theme-based activities in addition to daily sports, outdoor play, and American Red Cross swim instruction.
Each week Explorers will participate in theme-based activities in addition to daily sports, swim sessions, and two specialty classes. Our specialty classes include learning science, practicing gymnastics, fireless cooking, and more. Click here to learn more about this program.
Pathfinders: (Entering Grades 3-4)
Building on the success of our Explorers and Trailblazer programs, Pathfinders is a hybrid program that combines the best of both worlds to create an enriching and developmentally appropriate experience for your children!
Each week Pathfinders will participate in division-wide activities, in addition to swim sessions and one specialty class. Our specialty classes include robotics, cooking, theater, and much more! Click here to learn more about this program.
Trailblazers: (Entering Grades 5-8)
Children have the opportunity to develop new interests by selecting different specialty programs of choice each week.
Each week Trailblazers select two programs (morning and afternoon). Please click here for the descriptions of the over 20 programs available. Courses will have a capacity of 16 participants with the exception of some sports programs.
Jr. Counselor Program: (Entering Grades 9-10)
Ideal program for high school students who are eager to step into a leadership role, gain-life changing skills, and create unforgettable summer memories!
This engaging program combines hands-on experience, professional training, and one-on-one mentorship to empower teens with the tools they need to succeed as leaders, both at camp and beyond. Junior counselors will play a key role in shaping the camper experience, fostering joy, and ensuring that every day is filled with adventure and growth.
